In responding to the Financial Market Review (FAMR) final report, Citizens Advice has highlighted how being able to access money advice at key times in their lives, like buying a home or having a baby, goes a long way in helping people manage their finances. The FAMA report made recommendations in three key areas:
- Affordability – making the provision of of advice and guidance to everyone more cost-effective
- Accessibility – helping people engage more effectively with advice
- Liabilities and consumer redress – increasing the the clarity and transparency about the way that the Financial Ombudsman Service deals with consumer complaints
Both the Financial Conduct Authority and HM Treasury will respond formally to the final report, which along with other information is available here . . .
