Work Starts on Falmouth Office Improvements

A major refurbishment scheme at Citizens Advice Cornwall’s Falmouth office is due to begin this month.

The £20,000 project at the building in Mulberry Passage, Market Strand, will involve a complete refit of the interview rooms, offices and reception area and installation of new IT equipment.

Citizens Advice Cornwall chief executive, Neil Colquhoun, said:

“This investment will bring our Falmouth offices right-up to date, with a bright, modern, welcoming environment for our clients, volunteers and staff.

“The new offices will be more comfortable and accessible and improve the overall service.”

Around 800 members of the public used the Citizens Advice Falmouth office last year, including face-to-face drop-in sessions, telephone and e-mail advice.

To carry out the works, the office will close to the public from Friday 17 February reopening on Wednesday 15 March.

The nearest drop-in sessions will be in Camborne at the Community Centre on Tuesdays from 10am to 11.30am or Truro Library from 9.30am to 11am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

The advice service can also be accessed by texting the word ADVICE to 78866 and an adviser will call you back within 24 hours or the next working day. Members of the public can also call CA Cornwall on 03444-111444 Mondays to Fridays from 10am to 4pm or email us on bss.falmouth@citizensadvicecornwall.org.uk
