Recruitment of New Trustees

Citizens Advice Cornwall is looking for new trustees with special responsibilities for legal services or  fundraising.

Trustees are volunteers and become members of the trustee board, regularly attend their meetings; contribute to charity’s policies and strategy, define goals, set targets and evaluate performance; monitor the organisation’s financial position and actively seek opportunities to further the objectives of Citizens Advice Cornwall.

Fundraising

What we want you to do…
As a trustee with special responsibility for fundraising and individual giving we would be asking you
to work with a small team of volunteers to promote the charity in the community and solicit
donations from organisations and individuals, through making direct contacts and holding fundraising
events.
You will need to attend quarterly board meetings, take part in the trustee development programme and inform your colleagues on the trustee board of the work the group is doing and its successes.

Legal Issues

What we want you to do…
As a trustee with special responsibility for legal issues you will develop an overview of our
contractual and regulatory relationships and advise your colleagues on the trustee board on matters
relating to them.
You will need to attend quarterly board meetings and also commit to taking part in the trustee
development programme.
