Citizens Advice Cornwall is looking to recruit a part-time Money Matters Adviser based in Bodmin/North Cornwall
Purpose of the role:
The role will be supporting families in relation to stabilising their finances and improving their financial and other wellbeing longer term.
The role will be working with families, adults and young people to provide the support they need to become debt free and in control of their finances and their lives.
The post holder will provide learning opportunities to break the cycle of deprivation including financial capability, signposting to IT or vocational training and helping families to make positive changes to their physical and mental health and wellbeing.
The post holder will support clients to reduce and/or better manage personal debt, and maximise benefit entitlement.
Our Money Matters Advisers will deliver services in a variety of ways including one to one, drop in and by appointment at different locations in their locality putting the client’s needs at the heart of what you do. All channels will be utilised to deliver services and ongoing assessments will be made to ensure the service remains effective.
Hours: 22 hours per week/3 days
Salary: £18,000 pro rata
Fixed Term to 31 March 2025
Responsible to: Money Matters Project Lead
