Citizens Advice Cornwall is a registered charity and offers free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to everyone, covering areas such as benefits, debt, employment, housing, consumer issues and discrimination.  

We are looking for a full-time Adviser to join our Money Matters Team working across St Austell and Liskeard

As a full-time adviser you will be supporting families, focusing on stabilising their finances and improving their financial and mental health and wellbeing in a sustained way. Working with families, adults and young people you will be enabled to provide the support they need to become debt free and in control of their finances and their lives.  

 

To fully contribute in this role and be part of the Money Matters Team, you will need: 

  • To work with others respectfully, patiently, non-judgementally and confidentially. 

  • Demonstrable understanding of Universal Credit and current experience in benefits and/or financial capability, along with providing advice. 

  • Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and database systems.
