Administrator/Receptionist

Citizens Advice Cornwall is a registered charity and offers free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to everyone, covering areas such as benefits, debt, employment, housing, consumer issues and discrimination.

We are looking for a full-time Administrator/Receptionist to join our Advice Team based in Truro with occasional travel to other offices

You will be providing professional, friendly and flexible administrative and reception support for the Advice Team so that they can deliver a great service for our clients.

The main responsibilities for this role are to greet all visitors, handle queries via phone, email and daily correspondence, general administrative duties, diary management, external and internal mail distribution, taking attendance notes for meetings.

To fully enjoy this role and be part of the Advice Team, you will need:

• At least one year of current work experience in an office administration role.
• A good standard of education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Great organisational skills with good attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
• To be respectful, patient, adaptable and confidential.
• To remain calm and professional especially when under pressure.

Money Matters Advisor

We are looking for Full-Time Adviser to join our Money Matters Team to work across St Austell & Liskeard.

As an adviser you will be supporting families, focusing on stabilising their finances and improving their financial and mental health and wellbeing in a sustained way. Working with families, adults and young people you will be enabled to provide the support they need to become debt free and in control of their finances and their lives.

To fully contribute in this role and be part of the Money Matters Team, you will need:

• To work with others respectfully, patiently, non-judgementally and confidentially.
• Demonstrable understanding of Universal Credit and current experience in benefits and debt.
• Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and database systems.

Energy Advisor

Citizens Advice Cornwall is a registered charity and offers free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to everyone, covering areas such as benefits, debt, employment, housing, consumer issues and discrimination.

Citizens Advice Cornwall is looking to recruit an Energy Adviser to provide advice and guidance to clients how best to manage their energy, including energy saving initiatives, understanding the benefits of switching suppliers and how to do it.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Current experience of advice work including issues involved in interviewing clients.
• Current energy qualification or willingness to work towards this.
• Be able and willing to hold training sessions for small groups.
• Experience of providing energy advice and dealing with fuel poverty.
• Good understanding of safeguarding principles, confidentiality and data protection principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fully familiar with Microsoft Office, other IT systems and packages to provide advice, record keeping and document production.
• To be respectful, patient, adaptable and confidential.
• To remain calm and professional especially when under pressure.
